Six months on
The guide has been out for six months now and people seem fairly happy with it. Mull coastguard have ordered a copy, hope they don’t have to use it.
Here is some feedback, reproduced after editing and without permission.
Very slick. Richard Robinson at Cordee
Can’t wait to get into this exciting volume. Steve Scott, editor FRCC guides
Awesome effort. Julian Lines
The guidebook is gorgeous. Susan Jensen
It’s a superb production. Noel Williams
Contour maps are really useful for finding hidden granite treasures. Matthew Thompson
Been poring over it for literally hours. Ian McC in Stirling

Lots of inspiring stuff to get stuck into. Adi Gill in Yorkshire
Despite the positive comments the exposure in mags and blogs has been limited.
Perhaps I should have expected this; the previous guide ‘Skye and the Hebrides’ published in 1996 had only one review (of sorts) in the mags and wasn't reviewed in the SMC journal.
I’ve done a couple of blogs and Heavy did one.
There was a two page article in Scottish Mountaineer with two photos, some more (and bigger) photos would have been nice.
I submitted an article to UKC in February, it is in a queue. There was a review on that site.

I wrote a piece for rockandrun but it wasn’t suitable.
Climbers have been visiting ‘new’ islands like Canna and Coll. I saw chalk on an E4 at Ardtun, possibly the first attention the route has had since the 90s.
