Sardinia
It was my first trip to Sardinia.
Easyjet had problems loading bags at Stansted, then gave up, so we were a little late for take off.
When we got to Cagliari we found out that two of our four bags were still in England, an impressive number as only seven bags from the entire plane were left behind.
Next day (Sunday) we found a climbing shop in Cala Ganone that was open. Pete and Cynthia bought two pairs of rock boots, a harness, a chalk bag and some quickdraws.
Sunday and Monday we took turns to lead with three seconds for each pitch due to lack of gear (we had three harnesses, two ropes and some quickdraws).
After getting back from climbing on Monday we found a note to say the bags were at the airport and would be delivered within 48hrs, so I was asked to drive to get the bags. After a five hour round trip I was back for a beer at 11pm.
Weather was ‘mixed’ but we climbed every day, photos from the trip are here Sardinia
