Breaks
Last year I was trying a line at Gribun with the shunt, this was a few weeks after I tripped, there was a bulge at about 5m that I couldn’t climb because my arm was sore. I thought my arm was broken so went back to the doctor and asked for an x-ray.
The next weekend Cynthia fell into a burn walking back from the crags in Ardnamurchan. Stephen and Helen took turns to carry her (and three rucksacks!) a mile and a half back to the car; she had a spiral fracture of the fibula.
After that I got some x-rays and ten days later I was shown the results, there was a chipped bone in my wrist, my doctor advised me not to climb for another six weeks.
A year later I went back with Dot and led the route. Took some video of about two thirds of the route, and some shaky islands with a phone.
Three days later I climbed another line just to the right with Cynthia, being in a rush I placed the bolts by hand and removed them after the lead, I glued them in a few days later.
